Great location and a very peaceful cabin. Comfy bed and great fire pit area and porch!

This was a cute little cabin in the woods, we enjoyed it so much we ended up extending our stay by two days! Quaint, beautiful, and extremely quiet!

In all, a great weekend away. Positive: Very quaint and quiet. Liked the location, although it would have made me nervous getting out of there without a 4 wheel drive in a pickup truck. That could be my inexperience with mountain roads talking. Negative: Interior could really use some renovation, especially for the price of 3 nights. Much of the trim work is raw wood, the wall in the bathroom separating the shower stall really needs to be redone, the ability to turn on the ceiling fan with a wall switch needs to be fixed, and it would be great if the outside of the place was cleaned up a bit by the staff. Spider webs all over the rails and rocking chairs. Made you nervous to put your hand anywhere or to sit down. We cleaned it up ourselves.

Old couple story Positive: Loved the location hard to find lol very secluded a definite get away place Negative: I didn't like that the place was not more handicapped accessible we are an older couple and we had to sleep downstairs 1 on the couch and the other one on the lower bunk and of course we couldn't access the hot tub

Wake up have a cup of coffee in the morning while enjoying the view and peacefulness! Positive: It was so secluded! Love the quietness and enjoyed every minute of it! The host was exceptional! Will definitely be booking again!

Positive: Bed was comfortable the seclusion Negative: This is not a cabin for elderly or tall people. The stairs are a struggle and upstairs beams are low, you hit your head. The driveway is horrible, if you dont have a 4wd you will struggle getting out. It lacked cleaning, mold around shower, ceiling fan 2 inches of dust.

Positive: I loved that it was secluded and quiet. Hot tub was great and we enjoyed the camp fires in the evening. Negative: This is not a good cabin for senior citizens. Steep stairs and bed was kind of hard to get in and out of because of the roof bracing. Lighting was dim and could have been a little brighter. Also, a can opener would be a good addition to the kitchen utensils supplyed.

The stay was great, even with a few storms, Positive: We Loved the location, out in middle of pretty much nowhere, very relaxing, i loved the fact the hostess kept us informed of all the details, even when the power went out, Negative: My wife wasn't keen on the main route to get there the windy road made a her a bit nausea, thats the only thing i can think of

The location is beautiful and everything we could ask for but I must say for all those that stay at Cabin 1 in the current driveway condition a 4X4 is pretty much required to get in and out due to the steepness and 2 spots where the asphalt has eroded away

Great cabin getaway! Positive: The host was great! Very responsive and left an adorable s’mores kit for us! Negative: Everything was so well kept and stalked. We were able to cook breakfast and dinner. Had an extra tank of propane for the grill in the event we needed it or ran out. The host even left whole coffee beans and a grinder for coffee in the morning! We had everything we needed, no complaints.

We had a wonderful stay and felt so peaceful in this mountain cabin!! It was close enough to Bryson City and Nantahala that we could easily leave for food and activities, but we found we mostly wanted to stick around the cabin to enjoy our surroundings and slow down. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment to make our own meals and we loved the fire pit. We would definitely consider a return trip to this location!! Noting that the host is serious about 4WD for winter months. The road was rugged and extremely steep but our 2WD sedan was just fine on dry roads for our late spring trip.

Mitch went above and beyond our expectations. We ran into a minor issue with the original booking and he graciously upgraded to a new location us (Appalachian Peak Paradise) on a holiday weekend! Both locations were comfortable and cozy and had all the touches of home. On hand firewood, s'mores ingredients, make up eraser towels, and full propane tanks made our stay a breeze! The communication was top notch throughout our stay even in the middle of the night with another minor issue during a storm! We would definitely recommend Mitch & everyone with Salt Mountain Properties. We will be staying again when we are in Bryson City. Thank you for everything. We truly appreciate it. - Rob & Rachel

Happy Birthday and Mothers Day Visit Positive: The cabin was delightfully clean and secluded which was so relaxing. We loved the hot tub and the firepit. The Smores Kit was outstanding and my husband loved the coffee. We also enjoyed the rockers on the porch and access to a grill. We appreciated the fast internet and even though we were mostly outside, it was nice to have access to tv channels as well. The owners are very proactive and pleasant to engage with! Negative: Its a little scary getting to the place at night especially. We didn't like navigating the steps to the loft so spent most of our time downstairs. It wouldnt keep us from coming back but for those with mobility issues it might be too much of a challenge.

Beautiful cabin. We had a wonderful time up in the Smokies! The cabin was close to so many fun things; zip lining, rafting, mountain biking, and the national park. The hot tub and fire pit offered a relaxing end to our busy days. The host was attentive and answered all of our questions in a timely manner.

We enjoyed our stay and were impressed with the cleanliness and private stay. We were able to escape for a few days and relax!

Loved this spot. A little narrow on the road for a big vehicle getting there. It's one of those places once you get there you don't leave unless you going out for the whole day. The area is beautiful and I would stay in this cabin again.

The stay was ok but will not go back there Positive: It was scary getting to the cabin. The cabin is ok but would rather had a bedroom downstairs. We spent a week with me sleeping on the couch and my husband sleeping on a twin bed. I don’t think the cabin is for elderly couples.

Very cute and quiet little cabin. The hot tub and everything worked perfectly and the beds were comfortable! It is very private and perfect for a relaxing weekend!

This was my first time staying at an AirBnB and it couldn’t have gone better! I went with my boyfriend and dog and it was the perfect place for our spring break getaway! I saw many reviews saying to be wary of the driveway, and while it is steep, my 2012 Honda Accord did just fine. It was just close enough to town that getting groceries wasn’t a pain, but far enough away to feel secluded. It’s close to a lot of nice trails and not too far to drive to GSMNP. My boyfriend, dog and I really did enjoy our stay and would rebook!!

We spent our anniversary at Mitch's cabin and it did not disappoint. It was comfy and private and was a great location to all we wanted to do. Plenty of waterfalls, hiking, and, small towns to visit. We enjoyed our stay very much and will be returning again.

Our stay was hit with the winter storm of the year and it just made being on the mountain that much better. It was a gorgeous seriously rustic cabin. There is a cabin up above you but far enough away you can’t really see or hear anyone. There is also a privacy fence wrapped around the back of the hottub. It’s in a perfect place to sit out and enjoy the woods. Mitch was extremely responsive and helpful at all times. He gave us a great deal on adding additional time because of the storm. The cabin was clean and had firewood, complimentary stuff to make s’mores, a grill, and all the kitchenware you need. We had the best time and will be back!

This was a super cozy little cabin. Hot tub worked great. There was plenty of wood for a fire. They also had cable TV and some movies to pick from on DVD. The scenery was nice, and since we came in the winter we could see the mountains off in the distance. Would definitely go again sometime!

Paradise Positive: Our cabin, was absolutely gorgeous and the view was breathtaking. It was amazing being that elevated and having such a secluded cabin and view. We especially loved the large hot tub and outdoor fireplace. The cabin's interior decor was perfect and we didn't want to leave. It was so well equipped and truly had anything we could ever need. Only wish we could have stayed longer. Great place to escape the busy life and relax with nature.Highly recommend!

Cooked Thanksgiving in the cabin was amazing for our family. From an early check in to check out the place is amazing. The cabin is cozy and the hot tub. We couldn’t use it the first day due to it being in SL mode but messaged them and info was given to help us warm it up. The bunk beds was a nice place for kids to sleep. The only thing is the drive to the entrance of smoky mountains and then through the park. 22 minutes to entrance but 1 1/2 hrs to Get through the park where most of the trails are. But it’s a beautiful drive. It was a wonderful experience for Thanksgiving.

Amazing stay! Loved the inside fire place, hot tub, and fire pit! The bed was so comfy and the house was so cozy and warm at night! Enjoyed our stay!

Surprised my bf with a birthday trip and this cabin was adorable/perfect for us. Super cozy and felt like home. The views are beautiful. Absolutely loved it!

I'm too tall for a loft 😭 Positive: Atmosphere was great, place was clean, the girlfriend lived the s'mores kit. View could benefit from a few trees being trimmed or felled, but being that it was great. Negative: I'm not used to the steeper grades so I'm glad I brought a truck. Beyond that nothing behind inexperience with the type of area.

Its a nice cozy, quaint, and affordable cabin that is both out the way and close to several small towns and attractions. Its easy to take a short day trip and get back to enjoy a night by the fire pit.

This place was fantastic and we absolutely plan on coming back to this place in the future. Mitch was friendly and responsive to all questions. The place was wonderful!! Secluded with beautiful views and lots of privacy and it had everything we needed. Very close to Bryson City town to go check out downtown restaurants and shops. We cannot rave enough about this place and are ready to plan our next trip.

This place is pretty awesome. Quiet and cozy and close enough to town for convenience. Mitch was very helpful and responsive and communication was top notch. I would not recommend this place if you are riding a motorcycle unless you are very experienced simply because the driveway to cabin 1 is very steep and was challenging getting in and out and would be very easy to drop your bike. 100% will stay again if we go back to the area.

It was a good experience except for a few minor issues. Positive: Nice setting and hot tub and grill was a plus. Negative: Hot tub cover and screen door needed replaced.

Cozy Positive: Most everything was superb ... Negative: The cost of cleaning .... they need to be spotless for the price we pay ....the floor was not clean .... buy a mop! Furthermore, you can't see out of the windows.

We loved this cabin, it was off the beaten path and very private. But was still close enough to go into town and see everything that was available. We were able to enjoy our short trip and just relax. We will definitely be back.

Nice cabin in the woods and relativey close to the rafting center. Cozy, but all the space you really need.

Nice cabin, great host. Clean and organized. Had all the amenities that we needed. We enjoyed the firepit in the back. Beds were very comfortable compared to other places we have stayed. Only downside was the lighting inside. If you're like me and you like bright lighting, it's very dim inside. I suggested to the host to try "daylight" light bulbs. Also, if you have small children under 6, they can't run freely in the back since there's a drop to the forest. You can still enjoy the back and the firepit as long as you're with them. Other than that, it's great for a small family.

Awesome Place to stay for a couple nights : private and peaceful. Loved the whole experience and atmosphere. Hot tub was hot and ready for enjoying. Bed was comfy . Place was spotless and very welcoming. Comfy place made ya feel right at home. My husband said when we come back we will stay again ! 5 stars !

Cute little cabin in the mountains. Very peaceful and quiet if you need to get away. The lay out was very kid friendly my toddler loved the bunk beds. The place is stocked with plenty of towels and extra linens and was pretty clean. Only complaint was some of the lights did not work and the cabin was dark and some of the dishes had black mold on them besides that it was perfect.

Positive: Location was romantic and the cabin was everything we hoped for! We appreciated the s'mores!

Lovely Cabin Positive: They left a smores kit! There's plenty of firewood provided for the fire pit. The jacuzzi was clean and so is the rest of the cabin. They have a nice grill and a couple rocking chairs that face the beautiful woods. It's on a private drive and totally secluded besides the other cabin up the hill. I'll be back! Negative: The cover to the jacuzzi is old and should be replaced soon.

My partner and I had an absolutely beautiful stay at Mitch’s cabin. It was so peaceful & there was even s’more supplies and firewood waiting on us😊 The inside is perfectly cozy and very clean. There’s board games, movies to watch, the hot tub is perfect for stargazing. Our whole experience was a perfect reset and i’d love to stay at any of his other rentals. 10/10 stay and host!!💛

The cabin was very nice and relaxing. The only downfall was the road to get up to the cabin was very narrow, but other than that we loved the cabin!

The little cabin was just what my crew needed and the hot tub was an absolute plus. My largest critique is that the signage could be larger. Getting up to the cabin is a little tricky, but worth it! I just had a difficult time seeing the sign in the dark after navigating up the mountain.

A very cozy cabin in a wonderful location. Great hikes can be reached within 20-45 minute car drives and the nearby town has everything needed. Cabin was as described, situated in a beautiful mountain location. Check-in was easy and communication efficient and kind. Would stay again! The last bit of the road up to the cabin is steep so make sure to have the proper vehicle when traveling in winter.

We were not expecting much coming into it. Once we were there we were very pleased to see how ho Positive: The location was outstanding. You get a nice view of the Smokey mountains and it’s in a quiet and peaceful are, located not far from town. Negative: If anything, just no flood lights on the jacuzzi side of the cabin, but everything else outweighs that!

Absolutely amazing view. If you are looking for peace and quiet. You will definitely find it here. I do recommend a good SUV or truck as this is in the mountains. but the cabin and view make it all worth it. Mitch is a wonderful host. There is 1 thing to point out. The mattress up stairs is very thin.

Perfect stay Positive: Awesome Cabin Rental. All was great and as expected. No issues. Road was a bit steep, but paved all the way to the cabin. We had no issues up or down from the cabin. Owners were Very quick to respond to our questions. Negative: There were no issues. We stayed several days and had a wonderful time. Kitchen well supplied with all we needed. Pots and dishes were of better quality than most of our other stays elsewhere, and very much appreciated. Would absolutely rent again.

This peaceful cabin was exactly what we needed to rejuvenate for another 9 weeks of middle school students.

The cabin was amazing! It was exactly what my husband and I needed. A romantic getaway to enjoy the fire pit and hot tub and a quiet peaceful setting. Mitch was very responsive and helpful.

We stayed 6 nights. The area has a lot to do. The house had everything we needed. The hot tub was great to relax in after a long hike. There was a lot of cable channels when you wanted chill at the house in the evenings.

Beautiful cabin, scenic location. host was very responsive. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Overall, place was nice. Love the fact that we had firewood, fire pit, and s’more supplies. Things that need improvement are that the cabin needed a dehumidifier. Cabin was very damp and musty smelling. Upstairs needed fan circulation. Downstairs was cold while upstairs was hot. Just two recommendations to improve on. Other than that, we enjoyed being away and our family loved the hot tub.

Good location close to Bryson city. The location is secluded and quiet but the cabin is dark due to lack of windows and lots of trees shading the cabin.

This place is a great little getaway

Great location! Equally close to Tsali Trails and Bryson City. It was a great space for the two of us. Might be tricky for 3 or 4 people. We really enjoyed the hot tub and firepit. The weather was great so we spent a lot of time sitting outside reading books.

It’s a fun drive to get back there, and it’s worth it when you do. Hot tub was amazing and worked perfectly. The entire experience was incredible with a great view and great hospitality. Thanks Mitch!

Great location to get close to nature. The kitchen was small but very usable, we cooked meals for 5 days. The driveway is very steep and so is the road to get there but we had no problems, would recommend 4wd in wet or icy conditions. The hot tub and fireplace were very nice, the front porch is perfect to sit out and listen to the birds. Over all a great place to stay and get away from it all. Would recommend for a couple or family with no more that 2 small children.

The cabin is absolutely beautiful just like the pictures show. Hot tub is nice. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back again.

We felt right at home at this cozy cottage and enjoyed the secluded location. It is a bit far to some places in the Smoky Mountains, but perfect to visit areas close to Bryson City and still good for hikes in the Fontana Dam region, in case this is what you are interested in. Great the hot tub that awaits you after a long hike.

We are coming back again. They have everything we need, and providing wood for the firepit was a plus. We love the hot tub and the very relaxing place.

This was a perfect cabin for our 30th wedding anniversary. Mitch was very friendly and helpful with any questions that I had. The cabin was very clean and had extra things to do such as games, movies, and books. We were able to build a fire in the fire pit and have smores that were provided! They even had a bottle of champagne for our anniversary celebration. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back to this cabin!! Worth the money and the drive!

Great place, easy to get into and clean

Mitch was incredibly responsive…made sure we had what we needed for our two week stay. Our golden lab felt right at home, as did we. Very cozy, quiet, private cabin. Loved the view and very much enjoyed star gazing from the hot tub at night. Would definitely stay again!

The cabin was as pictured and was easy to find. The cabin had everything we needed for our one night stay and we appreciated the adds on the host left for us (fire starters, bug spray - not needed at all for our visit, chocolate bar, marshmallows & Hershey bar for smores). The cabin had great wi-fi and included a nice selection of games as well. The view from the front porch was lovely, mountain view this time of year. We really enjoyed the hot tub and it was situated right off of the front porch and outside the living room window but it is shared with cabin #2 per both listings which is up and behind this cabin (can't even see it from most vantage points from this cabin). This would be very awkward if the guests from cabin #2 decided to come and use it as it is situated right up next to the cabin and visible from the porch. We were fortunate that the guests in the other cabin did not come down and us it.

For the most part, our stay was awesome! Super cute and cozy cabin. The fire pit and hot tub are definitely the highlights. Our hosts are super responsive on the Airbnb app which is always a bonus. Only thing I would mention to future visitors is the lack of cooking appliances (bowls, glassware, measuring cups) in case people were planning to cook it up while they’re there. Also the drive up to the place is STEEP. If it were snowy or icy at all we would not have been able to go.

Great cabin, very rustic and beautiful. The bed was very comfortable, as was the furniture. A bonus was a good assortment of games and playing cards. Beautiful remote area. The fire pit had lots of wood available and the hot tub was great, even with snow on the ground. The road in was a bit steep and narrow but not a problem. My wife and I and two dogs had plenty of room and had a great time.

This was our first vacation where we have been able to include our furry family member and it made our time in NC more special. Beautiful, quiet location. Convenient to Bryson city. Cabin is compact, but fairly comfortable. Living room furniture could use an update. Loft bedroom has floor to ceiling beams coming down on both sides of the bed which makes it extremely difficult to get on the bed from the sides. There is only one TV and it's located downstairs in the living room. The driveway to this cabin is very steep and I had to go into my SUV's computer system and turn off the traction control stabilizer every time I left the house. There is no washer or dryer at this location. Check in was easy. Getting in touch with the host was easy. The views between this cabin and Bryson city were beautiful.

Cozy cabin with everything you need. The fall colors were amazing and you can see the sky filled with stars enjoying both the fire pit and the hot tub.

Cabin was a cute little cabin. GPS had no issues bringing us straight to the cabin. However upon arrival the cabin had not been cleaned from previous tenants. Contacted owner and they did get housekeeping out to the cabin. We left and came back about 2 1/2 hours later and the cabin had been cleaned. My only complaint is we had been on the road ALL weekend traveling around NC to see family before our week in Bryson. The last thing I wanted to do was wait to have it cleaned. The owner was very quick to respond. After the 1st night the stay was good. It was quiet and relaxing just what we wanted.

The good life cabins were just as advertised, quaint little spot perfect for the long weekend getaway that we embarked on. Perfect price for what you get and for us first time visitors to Bryson City we will definitely be returning as long as the good life cabins are open!

The cabin was absolutely fantastic. Very clean, beautiful location, and amazing communication by the host. The kitchen was well stocked with plates, pans, cups, knives, basically anything you can think of! Highly recommend.

Excellent communication. Residence was true to listing. Instructions for check in were Accurate and easy to understand. Cabin was clean And it was easy to find anything we needed.. Location location was very adjacent to Bryson City.

Good Life Cabin 1 was a great weekend getaway that provided us an opportunity to relax in the hot tub and enjoy our time by the fire. We were able to zip over to Bryson City in minutes with a grocery store near by.

Very nice, clean cabin. Close to all destination hot spots but secluded at the same time. Could not have asked for a better place to stay.

If you’re looking for a remote mountain get away not too far from town this one is for you! We truly enjoyed our stay here, Owner is super responsive to any need or concern you may have. The cabin was well stocked with seasonings cookware etc. plenty of firewood to have nightly fires and s’more materials provided as well.

The drive in is a bit steep up/ down but probably doable without 4 wheel drive. The hot tub worked perfectly. There were not, however, bountiful exterior lights on that side of the house- consider bringing a headlamp. Plenty of firewood- don’t forget you need tinder for a good fire. Host kindly set out starter s’mores supplies. Plenty of hot water for three people to shower. The kitchen water was pleasant and drinkable the first 3 days- turned sulfer-y on day 4. Overall a good value especially if you’re splitting your time between Gatlinburg, the Smokies, and Asheville

My visit was definitely five-stars! I got to experience staying in both cabins and I definitely enjoyed Good Life Cabin #1 more. The first cabin felt more like the log cabin which was what I was looking for overall! I would recommend staying there if you are looking for a quiet getaway. The scenery was picturesque and quite serene! I loved the free firewood and supplies for s’mores! The jacuzzi was filled and peak temperature, ready for use. I did make note of the oven not having temperature numbers on the knobs anymore because they apparently had rubbed off due to excessive use from previous bookers. I found all the amenities amendable. It is also within a great price point. I got to explore the local trails and took a ride down the Nantahala River in a “duckie.” It was only a 20 minute drive to the river and 15 minutes to the grocery store. It’s in a great spot and I will definitely come back to stay!

We overall enjoyed our stay at cabin to unplug. We relaxed by the fire pit and grilled every night. Unfortunately the hot tub filters looked dirty and clogged so we didn't get to enjoy it.

Great view and nice place to stay .

The place is nice, the roads are scary for a flat-lander like me, but it's a lovely view and it's peaceful. That's worth so much.

A basic cabin at an economical price, which is what I expected. I rate it low because the basic amenities you expect are so poor. The non-stick pans, knives and what little was provided in the kitchen should all be thrown in the garbage. It was obvious the hot tub hadn't been cleaned in a while, so we didn't dare go in it.

Communication was great. Sent that we were lost and received a call not even 30 seconds later. Cabin was super clean and cozy. They even had a basket full of things to make s’mores with….which was my boys favorite besides the hot tub! View was beautiful.

This was a great place to stay. I read the reviews before i came. The driveway was paved and wide enough for one car. We were there for four nights and not one car meet us. We seen plenty of places to pull into if we did meet a car. The place was as described. The hot tub was amazing, with wonderful views. I would definitely recommend this place and would definitely stay here again. The grocery store is about 10 minutes away. Definitely relaxing place to stay, with no problems. It was also nice to see firewood there and be able to use the gas grill. Oh and one thing haven't seen anyone mention, the sound of the creek well rocking on the porch was very nice.

Amazing cabin. The location is so peaceful and secluded. Everything exceeded my expectations.

Everything was great! I loved the location. A lot of reviews for this property complained about the drive up to the property, my hybrid fusion had no problems. Check in was super easy. Mitch answered all my questions in a timely manor. My husband mor my self wanted to come back. The cleanliness of the cabin was excellent. Only issue I had was navigating the stove due to the knobs not labeled, but other than that I will definitely stay again. Thank you guys for a great experience

We loved how quiet, remote and dog-friendly it was. There is good access to hiking trails nearby. Watching the mountains at sunset from the hot tub was a treat at the end of each day. We will definitely be back.
