Good life cabin 2 · Bryson City cabin with hot tub and fire pit

Very nice people, road was rough getting up the first time but once you knew the lay out it was fine. Perfect for a family trip!

We had a great stay at the cabin. We loved the hot tub. Bryson City is one of our favorite places to visit!

would recommend, I would definitely suggest having a 4x4 vehicle to get up there

All good. Positive: Very remote area and very peaceful overall comfortable enough Negative: Just not up to standard of our experiences in cabins near Maggie Valley. Open ceilings left no quiet room to room, but is what it is, a very quiet and peaceful place, and overall comfortable.

Quaint little place off the beaten path. Definitely tucked away and not much around until you drive about 15 minutes into town. Space was clean except for dishes and silverware that we had to re-wash before using. Due to the recent rain and the place constantly in the shade, we did notice and over abundance of gnats even inside the home. Bed was comfy but a little hard to get in and out of due to the one bed frame having a wooden rail right at shin level and the bed almost being tucked right up against the dresser. Definitely don’t try to go to the bathroom at night without allowing for at least one stubbed toe. Clean towels and linen were provided as well as cleaning products. The road to get to the place was definitely uphill and needs some attention (but is no fault of the homeowner). If you want quiet and away from the everyday hustle and bustle, this is your place.

This was a great spot for a quick mountain getaway! Secluded in peaceful woods, yet close to town for shops, breweries, and train ride- and nearby grocery (a must when traveling with young children). There are many wonderful hiking trails and Blue Ridge Parkway not far away. The cabin is rustic but cozy, with a spacious rocking chair porch, well-stocked kitchen, nice working hot tub, and plenty of dry firewood which is always appreciated. A sweet touch of smores kit made the kids smile. Mitch was very communicative! Thank you kindly.

We loved our getaway in the woods! We booked last minute, but it was still so easy. The porch was perfect for coffee listening to wood sounds. Just beautiful.

Beautiful place

This location was at the top of a mountain road and was fantastic. Not much of a view but very peaceful and quiet. Lots of space to stretch out and the hot tub was great after a long day of hiking. Would stay at this location if in the area again. Great value!

We had a very relaxing, peaceful stay at the Good Life cabin. Very private, and quiet. Perfect for a couples getaway. The hot tub was wonderful and the beds are comfortable and clean. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare a meal. We did the Moonshine Experience on the Smokey Mountain Railroad. Highly recommend it! Also, the waterfall scenic byway is something you’ll never forget. There is just so much to do in the area. Make sure to stay a couple days and take in the scenery and spend your last day relaxing at this quiet cabin before going back to the grind.

Fantastic find, relaxing and peaceful. Positive: So relaxing and quiet. We enjoyed the porch rocking chairs in the morning and watching the fireflies from the hot tub in the evening. Pretty view of the woods and a nice little hiking trail. Host kept us informed during thunderstorm and was readily available if we needed anything. Negative: Stay wasn’t long enough. Lol

Comfortable bed. Adequate supply of linens. Ok if you just need a place to sleep, but overpriced for what you get. Could use a deep cleaning inside and needs some care around the premises— trash in fire pit, messy around outside of cabin. If you are hoping for a scenic view, this is not the place for you.

We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. It was secluded and quiet, yet within a short drive to all the things Bryson City has to offer. Our hosts were extremely quick to respond to any messages or requests, and very polite. We would definitely stay with them again.

This cabin is a wonderful place to stay if you’re in Bryson City! It’s private and the hot tub was our favorite part! The walls don’t reach the ceilings, so you can clearly hear what’s happening in other parts of the house and we also had issues being able to connect to the internet, so those are things to note if you’re planning on visiting. Overall, we had a great stay and would come back!

Good Life #2 was Nice it was what we expected. Mitch and team went above and beyond to make sure we got our bose mobile speaker back when we discovered we had left it near the firepit.

Even though my husband was a little under the weather we still enjoyed our stay. It was located close enough to find things to do but out enough to feel like you were getting away.

I totally loved it! True log cabin experience. Has a great location, I was pleasantly surprised. Great views along the way. It's not bad getting up the mountain like a bunch of other places I've stayed, had two friendly wood ducks though that would block the road, even flew past me once I got by and blocked it again, Lol! Cabin was so cool. I loved the open ceilings and seeing the rafters and beams. Very functional and internet worked well, even has a strong cell signal which is rare. Has central air system, I didn't try the heat but cooling worked well. There is another cabin on the property as well, it's far enough away that I had a very peaceful time even with an entire family there including the dog, hot tub and fire pit is totally private. I did enjoy my first hot tub experience. Cabin does have the basic necessities to get by through the first night, but will need to get things like butter and spices for cooking. Major grocery store is 17 minutes away. Will be back!

I enjoyed my stay here, but it could have been better. Great place, and I try not to be super picky, but I noticed a few things that need work. The black mold in the bathroom above the shower is fixable but it needs to be fixed now and not later. It’s dangerous for anyone to be exposed to, especially kids. I almost died from mold exposure as a baby. I had to kill a few roaches by the stove in the kitchen. I’m not sure if they were wood roaches or if the place is infested, but I didn’t see more afterward. The hot tub was pretty gross. There was a lot of hair and dirt so I quickly climbed out and gave up on that. The rooms are open at the top so all conversations will be heard. I ended up going alone so that was no issue. It is in a nice private area if the other cabin isn’t booked at the same time, but if it was I wouldn’t have had a good time. I like the way it’s decorated and the cabin has most of the basic necessities which is much appreciated. Cool place, just needs some love :)

We were looking for a peaceful getaway for my birthday and this place checked all the boxes and more than lived up to the expectations, from the beautiful scenery to the hand selected dishes this was an experience we will cherish. 10/10 would choose to stay again!

We stayed here for our honeymoon, and it made for the perfect get-away! The hot tub was so great, especially after long hikes. And sitting out on the porch with the rocking chairs watching the sunset: phenomenal! I highly recommend staying here.

The cabin was fantastic! Super clean upon arrival. Mitch left an abundance of firewood for us. Everything was perfect. Mitch was also super responsive!

Mitch contacted us to let us know there was bad weather coming and what we needed to know if roads were iced. The hot tub was EXCELLENT. That was the relaxing we both needed even with 14 degree weather. It snowed the first morning and was a beautiful site for us Floridians.

My boyfriend and I had a great winter getaway here, really enjoyed the view and the hot tub!

My husband and I needed to rest and feel the tranquility of nature. The cabin was perfect for us, with games and movies on DVD’s, hot jacuzzi and a beautiful view in the sunset. The fire pit was amazing, we had fun moments while making s’mores. The house was cozy and warm. But I think they could improve the cleaning a little, mainly on the floor. I would definitely go back to this cabin, who knows next season 😄

Exactly as pictured, no surprises. Nice little cabin in the middle of nowhere. Hot tub was emptied and cleaned prior to arrival, which was nice. We brought everything we needed, but supplies were provided if needed. WiFi worked perfectly.

Wonder place great stay will definitely be going back

Peace peace and peace, at one point at asked my daughter "do you hear that?", she said "no" and I said "exactly". In other words we felt alone with the stars and fire pit and hot tub. Hikes are within 25 minutes and BC within 18.

This cabin was very cozy and had really nice views all the way up to the cabin. Mitch was very helpful and responsive when approached with any questions. I would stay here again.

Excellent value and quite a relaxing environment. All amenities were there and working correctly. Peaceful and quiet with everything we needed for our 2 day visit. I highly recommend Mitch as a host. We felt right at home with the cabin being so cozy & a secluded location. We stayed here for a trip to the Polar Express which was only 20 min away! The setup of the cabin was perfect for a small family looking for a short get-away. The hot tub was clean & such a great accommodation. Also with there being plenty of towels/linens (mama’s you know how it is with kids) along with a washer/dryer in the cabin was SO AMAZING to have. There was hot chocolate & smore’s ingredients which was such a cute gesture, the kids loved it. The only “issue” we had was a smell we couldn’t get rid of but we think it was possibly from being on well water. The bathroom could’ve been cleaned a little better but definitely wasn’t a huge issue. We will definitely be keeping this place in mind for next year as we return for our yearly Polar Express adventure.

The Cabin was just what we wanted for thanksgiving. Close enough to Bryson city, and Franklin there are plenty of hiking trails near by. Fire Pit Supplies were provided, and there was a grill, electric small oven, but just enough space for a 12lb turkey. :) full size washer and dryer. The cabin is remote at the top of the mountain and a second cabin right below this one with still enough privacy. At night the stars are SO Bright!!!!!!

We had an amazing time during our stay in the mountains. We were looking for a nice cabin where we could relax and be comfortable. We had plenty of privacy and the cabin was exactly as described in the listing. Mitch was very helpful and easy to contact. We would definitely stay at one of his properties again.

We have been to several Western NC locations and this was our first time to Bryson CIty. This visit was for my 73rd birthday. We found the place to be nicely private, quiet and peaceful. The cabin itself is move-in ready with everything someone could need. Several nice added touches including a homemade packet to make s'mores (we didn't but it was still cool) for two. It has two bedrooms, although we only used one, a full bathroom with shower, a cozy living room and a kitchen complete with all utensils and pots and pans. We only cooked breakfast ut could have easily made dinners. We found nothing we did not enjoy there including the nice hot tub to relax in after hiking. The cabin was easy to find but the road to the cabin is one lane which was not an issue as there was rarely traffic. We drive a large pickup truck and had no problems other than getting used to driving on very curvy roads. All in all we liked it enough that we did not want to leave to come back to FL!

Great mountain getaway Positive: We loved how secluded the area was. Very quiet and allowed us to disconnect and recharge. Negative: The only thing I didn't like was the bed. I found it very uncomfortable and I slept on the couch instead.

We stayed at this lovely little cabin through the incoming and during Hurricane Helene and her havoc. We lost no power, we lost internet but the entire city did so that is not on the Airbnb. We were dry and safe, comfy. We had DirectTV and a hot tub to keep us happy. Mitch was very responsive and helpful- even made a call To make sure we were ok after the storm. We were cozy! It’s small and quaint, perfect for the 2 of us and our dogs. Location is great!!!! Far from the downtown of Bryson City but close enough to travel in twice a day. Buy some Pottery at the little shop on the drive in and out from the road to the cabin. Second cabin nearby but in no way do You interact.

Loved the cabin! Nice and peaceful back in the woods with great amenities like a hot tub, covered front porch, and grill. Bryson City is close by for restaurants, shopping, and train rides.

The cabin and the location were perfect for escaping the noise of the city. It felt secluded without being completely isolated. It was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hot tub was the ideal place to relax after a long hike at the end of the day.

This cabin was very nice. It is great for 2-4 people. It was very comfortable. It is up the mountain road. It is very quiet and peaceful. It is in the woods and you only see one other cabin. So very relaxing and quiet. Nice kitchen if you want to cook meals. Fire pit and hot tub were great to relax around. Mitch was very responsive to us when we needed help. He also gave us fun things to see and do around the area.

The cabin was in a beautiful location, very quiet/private area, a quaint cabin with everything you need - an incredibly well stocked kitchen. It was a great place to relax but close enough to activities. We were here for an anniversary and it can be described as romantic. Would definitely stay again. Clean enough. Drive up to the cabin is a little nerve racking, beds were not comfortable so bring a topper if you can.

We loved the seclusion and beauty of this cabin. About 15 minutes from Bryson City. Very clean and the hot tub was great. We spent most of our time on the covered porch which was nice because we had quite a bit of rain. Very nicely decorated and comfy. The kitchen had everything as far as cookware and utensils you could need. As some people mention the walls don't go all the wall to the ceiling in the bedrooms so the sound and light may be an issue for some but for just a couple it wasn't an issue. The grill on the porch was clean and worked great. Hope to return sometime in the fall.

We loved our stay in this cabin and would choose to stay here again. Communication with Mitch was great and very helpful. The descriptions match the photos and everything was as described. It is really a great place to escape into the mountains for some peace and relaxation. The hot tub was very clean and the firewood was on hand for the outdoor fire pit area. The cabin was clean and well kept and had everything we needed for cooking in the kitchen. The s’mores basket was a nice touch added on the kitchen table. Highly recommend for a small family or group of four.

Great stay at the cabin! Was the perfect place to enjoy the trip to Bryson City. Cabin is tucked away in the trees but easy to find! Very clean, spacious cabin. Well worth the price of admission, will be coming back!

If you want secluded, this is the place, about 18 min to Bryson City. There is one other cabin down slightly down the hill but not a bother. Private hot tub and fire pit for a peaceful getaway. Wifi worked great if you still need to stay connected.

What a lovely Cabin! Deep in the woods, cozily secluded, but still close by to the towns and Great Smokey Mountain National Park. This cabin made our trip so so memorable, and the hot tub was truly the cherry on top! The bed was also super comfy!We highly recommend this cabin and would love to return! There was a slight hiccup finding the cabin, but is because we arrived super late (like close to 11pm) and couldn’t see a thing in the woods/forest. It is recommended (by us from through our experience) to arrive during daylight just so you can see the driveway entrance! But the hiccup made for a fun adventure and memory we’ll never forget !!!

This place is beautiful, tranquil and clean. The hosts are extremely fast in their responses with questions. Everything was clean and as described. The location was perfect for the quiet getaway we aimed for. If you are looking for something quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the main town.

This stay was just what we needed --- quiet relaxation in a private setting. It was rainy the full day we were there-- and it was so comforting and sweet! We could gently hear the rain fall, but being cozy inside, it was so relaxing!! When we stepped out to walk our dog, there was space and quiet roads to explore. And then a hot tub to top it off-- and clean enough I wanted to get in, which doesn't often happen!! We LOVED this spot!!

The cabin was adorable and offered just the right amount of privacy. The road was more narrow than expected but made the drive with an average sedan just fine. I was a little surprised to find the walls didn’t quite reach the ceiling which allowed some noise to travel but very low on the inconvenience scale l. Would stay again!

We have stayed in this cabin twice now, and we’ve loved it both times. Mitch is a wonderful, hospitable, and responsive host! We’d be happy to stay in his places anytime! The only thing other families with kids may want to know is that there is no enclosure/walls on the top of the bedrooms, so sound does carry throughout the whole cabin. If you don’t plan to sleep in, it’s no problem. :).

Wow! Didn't want to leave and will be ready to go back! This little cabin was a great get away for my hiking buddy and me! The location is great to explore the Smoky Mountain National Park and is close to many beautiful waterfall hikes! Bryson City is very close with many neat little shops and good restaurants options! I can't say enough about the location! Mitch and Brad are great hosts and are very quick to respond. The cabin is just as described and more. After a day of hiking and photography, setting around the campfire or soaking in the hot tub is just the ticket! We stayed an extra day and hope to be back soon! We still have things on our to do list in the area! Wonderful little cabin with great host in a spectacular location! Perfect vacation!

Definitely worth the price and location Positive: Beautiful scenery, there’s a creek right beside the property and the hot tub is wonderful, a perfect place to get away from all the noise of the world. Definitely will be coming back to stay longer! Negative: The road coming up here is absolutely terrifying, I would definitely recommend getting mirrors for the telephone poles to see around those curves during the daytime as it’s extremely narrow and no way to see other cars coming

The cabin is located in the mountains and very quiet with really nice views. During the winter, I would recommend a 4-wheel drive. The description of the cabin was very accurate and has a nice hot tub, especially for those cold nights. It snowed some one night. When we arrived, the cleaning crew had not come yet, and it was messy. We message the host, and he responded very quickly and assured us they were on their way. They were running late but cleaned the cabin within an hour's time. The host apologized for the delay. The host provided some recommendations for groceries and dining out in town. and responsive when we had questions. Overall, it was a very nice vacation to get away to relax as a family, which we hadn't done since pre-covid and enjoyed the cabin.

This was my second stay at Mitch’s place, i enjoyed it just as much as the first time! It’s a peaceful and quiet location. It has everything you could possibly need to enjoy a nice getaway.

Just what the doctor ordered. We was looking for a cabin on the side of the mountain with a hot tube and found it with this cabin. We cooked Thanksgiving dinner and needed nothing. Cabin is very well stocked for all needs. Some reviews said step road to cabin and it is a little bit but not bad at all, new single lane asphalt private road that makes it very easy to get there. 20 minutes to Bryson City so you are just far enough away that your out of the rat race for a quite evening overlooking the mountains. I highly recommend this cabin, we will be back next year.

This place is the coziest place ever, it looks even better than in the photos, beautifully decorated yet not over the top, and whoever is responsible for cleaning does an exceptional job! I was really pleased with the bath tub as well and internet works great for streaming. My wife and I both loved it so much. Thankfully we didnt have a rainy day but if we did we would enjoy just staying a full day at the cabin as you are deep in nature. There are still some houses in the area giving a safe feeling but far enough where you have privacy. Its just perfect, we will be coming back next year for sure. The cabin is on a steep skinny hill leading to cabin. The cabin doesn’t have a ceiling so there is no privacy because you can hear everything all over the cabin. The Cabin had an old antique smell The cabin definitely isn’t as large as it is shown in pictures on website.

Spent a birthday weekend in Bryson City and this cabin was in a phenomenal location. If you’re looking for a private quiet getaway you can’t beat this place. My only critique would be that I wish the bathroom had more amenities for the price you are paying.

We loved this secluded cabin! We were visiting for the fall colors on our motorcycle. The road/drive in is paved so that is a bonus for motorcyclist. The hot tub after the long rides was wonderful. Was an amazing experience having a campfire while sitting in the hot tub. Host were quick to respond and made the whole process simple. Highly recommend! Thank you again Mitch!

Left a day early because it was raining and colder than what we are use to. Negative: The oven was not clean and the kitchen needed sweeping upon arrival.

My 11th year in Western North Carolina. Found Mitch's cabin researching with the words private and hot tub. Mitch ran a special on the cabin I couldn't resist. Excellent directions. Easy to find. Upon arrival, I walked into a very clean and cozy cabin. It's actually the perfect size for a "head quarters" and the perfection location right outside of Bryson City. About 20 minutes to town. Many other attractions such as shopping, dining and outdoor fun. The hot tub was a home run after a full day in the mountains. Check out Alarka Falls, a hidden gem close to this rental. This is a true cabin in the woods. If you enjoy bird watching you'll love the variety of songs (stereo sound). I drive a Jeep Trailhawk and it handled the area like a charm. Mitch is always super responsive and helpful. Don't hesitate to rent this cabin, you'll be glad you did. Enjoy the peace, privacy and woodland beauty, while you have fun in the mountains. Kitchen was extremely well stocked and had all equipment needed to cook. Hot tub was very clean. Linens, kitchen, and bathroom were very clean. Washer and dryer worked great. Hot water heated up quick for showers. Beds had comfortable matresses. Loved the privacy.

This was a lovely little cabin and such a peaceful stay! Good road to walk on with the pups heading up; almost no traffic and great Mountain Views. Beds and sofa comfortable (beds are firm) and very clean inside. Hot tub was awesome. Lots of kitchen equipment/utensils; you will need to bring own shampoo/shower items. Although we didn’t use the wood provided for a fire, this was a nice touch (there were also s’mores items!). Very steep road in places but any car could make it as long as no ice/snow; can understand why 4wd/AWD would be necessary in winter though! Keep in mind the walls for the bedrooms don’t go all the way to the top so you can definitely hear moving around very easily. Wasn’t a problem for my sister and me but others may want more privacy. Mitch and Brad are very responsive and helpful and answered almost immediately any time we had a question. Overall this was a wonderful and relaxing stay and we would for sure stay again!

The cabin was a awesome it was clean ,the hot tub was amazing it was a peaceful place to go back to after a day out in the local towns and mountains everything worked as it should of I will come back and stay if there is availability at time of the next vist I highly recommend the good life cabins the host responded fast if I had a question great people to rent from

My wife and I spent our 5th anniversary at this beautiful cabin. We fell in love with it the moment we walked in. The outside was just as beautiful. It was very peaceful. We spent most of our time by the fire pit which Mitch & Brad had everything we needed to make s’mores which was so nice. There was also plenty of wood to use for the fire pit. Which was so appreciated. What makes it even better was having the hot tub close by. We enjoyed sipping our wine as we watched the sun go down. The hosts were wonderful! The best we’ve had. I highly recommend this cabin. You will not regret it. We are already planning to come back to later in fall. It has become our favorite place .

Positive: VERY QUIET! They supplied towels, sheets, kitchen soap & laundry detergent. Didn't hear any neighbors. Totally in the woods. Negative: Construction of ceilings let ALL THE NOISE carry from room to room

Was not the first time we have stayed here and won’t be the last. Perfectly secluded but still close to everything for an adventure filled weekend. The hosts have been amazing a every time we them. Hot tub is clean. They have s’mores makings and firewood ready for use!

Loved the log cabin and really enjoyed the hot tub and surroundings. Only hiccup was the lack of some basic supplies like sugar and bath soap.

My family of 4 loved staying in this cozy cabin for the week. It had everything we needed. My young boys loved playing outside in the creek. Only cons for us was that it is a bit out of the way to the Smoky mountains. We ended up driving A LOT. It was also tricky to find it as we were arriving on the first day. I wish there were better signs pointing to private driveway. We ended up passing cabin entrance up the mountain and the road got scary. Overall we had a wonderful relaxing week.

The property was the perfect setting for a get away. Private, yet close to town . Our host was super friendly in that he offered info on things to do in the area. I would definitely stay again!

Beautiful cabin secluded in the mountains. So peaceful listening to the sound of birds and the creek flowing nearby. If you’re one who enjoys nature, this is place for you. Very nice hot tub as well! Enjoyed the s’mores ingredients and abundance of firewood. The road up there was a little scary at first (steep and curvy), but you get used to it. Hosts were very quick to reply to any questions we had.

This was our first Airbnb rental ever so I don't have others to compare it to but it was very nice. The firepit was stocked with firewood and the jacuzzi was extra clean. The kitchen was pretty well stocked with everything needed to cook a meal. The grill worked as it should with plenty of spare propane canisters. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice. The beds were comfortable. The couch and loveseat were comfortable as well. There was another cabin below us but it still felt very private. It was nice to listen to the birds and watch the squirrel and chipmunk play. I would definitely like to stay here again if Mitch would have me.

Beautiful mountain vistas just down the winding country road from this enchanting cabin. We greatly enjoyed the *seclusion, the hot tub, and the complimentary pre-made fire & s’mores. Hosts returned all messages promptly and thanked us immediately once exiting rental. If you’re looking for a private cabin with a mountain Forrest ambiance this is a great fit; don’t forget the trail located on property and it’s proximity to the quaint shopping/dining river town of Bryson City just below Smokey Mountain National Park.

Everything from start to finish was great. Only down side was it was a little tough with a truck and trailer but still manageable. Great experience, the hot tub was an awesome bonus we didnt know we needed.

We expected a great cabin when we saw the photos and booked but when we got there, the pictures didn’t do justice to how beautiful it was. It was maybe 20 minutes from downtown which was also very nice. We typically stay on the Tennessee side of the mountains but the views far surpass on the North Carolina side. The town folk were all so polite and made us feel welcome. The porch was where we spent most of our time. I highly recommend not passing up this cabin and can’t wait till our next vacation

This is the perfect pet friendly cabin you can find in the NC Smokies! Positive: This was a cute little cabin! We came up here for our 6th Anniversary and everything here was wonderful. There is even a tiny trail going to a stream next to the property! Negative: Nothing!

It was a blessing in the wooded mountains! Positive: I loved everything the moment we made it up the mountain. Then the cabin matched to a T. The cleanliness of the cabin is remarkable, the fresh air to take a breath of, the well equipped home with any and everything you need. Everything was well thought of putting this home together. Let's not forget the hot tub felt great, wood already cut for you to use along with s'mores to enjoy and grill outdoors for a nice steak! Negative: There was nothing to dislike.

This was our 2nd stay there.Love the mountains,peaceful,quiet yet not far from town.Cabin is as it was described,nicely decorated very homey.I am sure we will be back again.We decided to go a day earlier and the guys helped with that and made it easy! Thanks Mitch,great place!!

Terrific rustic cabin. Had some issue with the living room rug being wet and a slight odor.

Mitch's place was peaceful and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit to the NC side of the Smokies! peace of mind knowing the hot tub was clean as instructions and extra chemicals were provided. It's definitely easiest to arrive in the daylight as it is out in the wilderness up a steep drive. Enjoyed day trips to Maggie Valley, Cherokee, Bryson City, Greenville SC and the Pigsah National Forest all from this central location.

Wonderful mountain cabin as described. Highlights were the quiet, privacy along with the hot tub and fire wood. This is the first place that has provided fire wood and it was much appreciated. Mitch et al were very friendly and responded immediately to the questions I had. Will return.

We really loved the peaceful setting - the view from the hot tub was beautiful and we loved the privacy of being nestled in the woods. The hot tub was spacious and very comfortable - we loved it! And the house was very clean when we arrived. The things we didn't love about the house was that the walls in the bedrooms didn't go up to the lofted ceiling so light and sound traveled freely throughout the house - it made it hard to have privacy or to sleep and wake at different times. Also, the beds were pretty hard and springy and not especially comfortable. All in all, we were happy with our stay - the hosts were very responsive and got back to us quickly and we were very happy to get to have our dog come with us! It was a very nice weekend retreat.

Great little cabin in the woods. We certainly created some good memories with the kids, making s'mores in the fire pit and taking a walk with them by the creek. You could see the neighbors in the cabin below but we still felt private and enjoyed every moment. I would recommend and stay again

Cabin was clean and easy to navigate to. The hot tub was amazing and also very clean! The only downside is that it was a little less private than expected - there was another cabin next door - and the walls in the cabin did not quite reach the ceiling, so did not block sound between rooms at all. My fiance and I were glad it was just the two of us because there would have been no privacy if we'd invited another couple. Still overall a really wonderful value and stay.

Wow this cabin will always have a special place in my heart. Captivating energy that made you feel comfortable and invited. Awesome time in the town and the perfect getaway for my boyfriend and I. Mitch and Brad were super flexible with us and extremely responsive! The place was super clean which is important. Overall I would recommend and will probably be re-booking:)

The cabin was “good life” for sure. My fiancé and I needed a getaway and received just that. Perfectly private, the hot tub with cold weather was perfect along with nightly fires. Our five year old thought we were the best parents. It was clean had all we needed. I’m a coffee addict and I forgot to bring mine and sure enough there was fresh coffee from one of our home town Wilmington coffee shops. Also by surprise all the needed items for s’mores. It was just perfect. Definitely return

Cute cabin! Close to town but distant enough that you feel secluded in nature. Another cabin is below but still felt private. Appreciated the fire pit and hot tub. Hosts were very responsive and friendly!

Didn’t know what to expect for my first time in the mountains, but this place was perfect. Not too big but not too small. Perfect for 3-4 people to comfortably hangout and enjoy the scenery. Also 15-25 from downtown area/casino. Great views riding to and from town. Overall great experience especially for the price.

My very first time getting a Airbnb, let’s just say I will be doing it more often. Very nice, and quiet place. Never been to the mountains but the experience was wonderful. Great location, was about 10mins from groceries stores n restaurants. Didn’t hike, very steep as stated. I enjoyed my time. I would recommend for any couple or family.

Very secluded for great privacy. As stated you can see the other house but you feel completely alone. Hot tub was clean. House was clean. No complaints here. We will be back for sure. He even had plenty of fire wood and makings for s’mores!

Great little, cabin in the woods near Bryson City, with a nice secluded walk down to the nearby creek,. Located close to the water falls in the area and the Deep Creek Trail head. The host provided firewood for the fire pit and marshmallows and graham crackers to make some smores, which was a nice touch. Locally sourced coffee from Folks Cafe was also provided. The hot tub was available but we did not use it on this stay. There were also books and board/card games in the cabin for those rainy days, wi-fi and the Dish reception were fast and clear. Plenty of dishes, pots, pans and utensils on hand if needed. Communication and check-in were fast and easy. We would stay here again

Wonderful cabin. Very pleasant stay. Perfect for the two of us that went. Having a place on site to wash clothes was also really nice. Plenty of fire wood (provided) to burn in the fire pit. Hot tub was very clean and well kept.

We enjoyed our stay in the Good Life 2 cabin. Perfect location if you are wanting to explore Bryson City/Cherokee/Nantahala Gorge but secluded enough for privacy. It was the perfect place for myself, boyfriend, and our dog Oscar. Cabin was clean and communication was very efficient. They provided coffee, s’mores, and plenty of firewood! We will definitely be back. Absolutely enjoyed our stay!

Perfect getaway in the woods! Kids had so much fun playing in the creek and making s’mores! Cabin was so cute and we ate dinner every night on the front porch! What a great weekend full of family time! Would definitely stay again! Communication with Mitch was top notch. Location of cabin was not an issue at all! The driveway was not bad as I envisioned it to be after reading the comments. I’m sure in the winter months/snow & Ice it would be a little bit of an issue.

Cute little cabin in the woods. We had a fabulous time for our 12th anniversary. The kids came with us and enjoyed the hot tub and the stuff to make smores that im guessing they left of us. Having firewood there was a huge plus!

A perfect lil cabin in the woods getaway. Just what we were looking for. Secluded enough but not far from Bryson City & Franklin. A bit of a steep driveway up but honestly easily accessible, able to make it up no problem. Loved sitting on the porch listening to the stream (& the bit of rain we got while there) Enjoyed the well-kept hot tub during the day as well as a dip in the cooler evening. The trail next to the cabin was a delight (appreciated the little bench next to the stream!) Enjoyed using the fire pit in the evening, as well as the complimentary s'mores! (Be warned, when we were there...there was a little bird's nest in the shed! Momma bird was protective when getting some wood) Overall great experience and we'll hopefully be back!

Very secluded but that’s not great when you get lights in your back windows at 4:30 am. Asked host about it but he had no interest in even looking at footage on the outdoor cameras and only gave us attitude. Also the rooms are all connected above the walls so there is no private conversations

My husband and I enjoyed our visit very much! We were excited to use all the amenities provided which was the selling point for choosing the Good Life Cabin. We had a blast grilling and hanging outside. There is a trail right by the cabin which was nice and easily accessible. There was stocked firewood for the fire pit and s’more supplies provided, but it had rained and made it hard to start a fire. I would have loved to stay longer, but that just means we will need to come back in the future!

The cabin is very cute! There were many small touches that made it an extra special place to stay. There was a small shed full of wood for a campfire and s’more ingredients in a basket on the kitchen table. The cabin itself was very clean and had all of the necessary cooking utensils we were looking for. As other reviewers have mentioned, the driveway is a steep one! The Honda Fit made it up and down each time just fine. Brad was quick to respond to questions and the checkin/out process was very simple.

Great value and really fun location. Lots of winding roads to get here, so I’d recommend arriving in the day time. Super quiet and quaint! Exactly as advertised.

Perfect spot for a get a way. Good life cabin 1 is about a stones throw from this one, but we hardly even noticed the other tenants during our stay. Make sure you check out the grove by the stream. Mitch was very responsive to messages and check in/out was easy. It was tough to find a place we could bring our dog, but this stay ended up being just as fun for her as us!

The hood life cabin is awesome! It’s in the middle of the woods. Very quiet and secluded with a creek, fire pit, and hot tub! Nothing too fancy, just the way we like it. I could sit on that front porch all day!

This place is great. Such an adorable cabin nestled in the woods. The hot tub and fire pit with plenty of cut firewood was perfect for unwinding after busy days of traveling and adventures. The deck with rocking chairs,wind chimes and sweet bird songs made a very relaxing way to wake up every morning. We will definitely stay here again if we are ever back in town. Thanks to the hosts for great communication!!

If your looking for peace, quiet, and seclusion this cabin is place for you. The campfire and hot tub just top it off while over looking a beautiful view. For a first Airbnb experience I give it 10 out of 10.

Worth it!

Rustic cabin with plenty of privacy and a beautiful view off the front porch & hot tub area. My daughter was thrilled that there was wood there to make smores by the campfire! Be ready for a long road in to the cabin but it is paved and makes it a true gem for privacy & a peaceful stay. It's out of the city so you can really enjoy the stars at night & quietness & nature. Appeared to be some nice walking trails and you can hear the creek below running from the porch & fire pit. Was very relaxing to listen to. Mitch was very kind & responsive. Wish we could have stayed longer. Definitely reccomend this cabin for a get away!

We had such an amazing time at this cabin! We only stayed 1 night, but it was so worth it. I’ve stayed at many similar rentals, and I’ve never seen the owner provide firewood! This is huge. No more trips into town for more firewood. It was nice a dry too! The hot tub was also amazing. I’ve been to other rentals that have a hot tub, and sometimes they’re….gross. This one was clean and spotless. Love the location too. It’s only ~10 minutes to a grocery store, but still feels very secluded. The road was paved all the way to the cabin, which is nice. 10/10, would do again!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin! It’s very secluded, surrounded by a beautiful forest, 20-25 min from Bryson City and about 50 min from Cherokee. There are a few beautiful trails within a 15-20 min drive. We read previous reviews about the road that leads to the cabin. Yes, it’s pretty steep and narrow but we never encountered cars driving in the opposite direction during our 1-week stay and got used to the drive pretty quickly, so it wasn’t a problem. We had an Outback. The cabin is overall clean and is good for a couple or a family of 3. It’s not huge but is very cozy. The internet is pretty fast and we never had problems with cell service either. There’s a ton of pots and pans for cooking and baking. There was no complimentary tea or coffee at the cabin, but we had our own stuff with us anyway. And there is an Ingles supermarket in Bryson city. Mitch and Brad were extremely responsive and accommodating. We’d definitely recommend staying at the cabin!

DO NOT STAY HERE. This was the worst Airbnb experience my fiancé and I have ever had. The cabin was not what we expected based on the reviews. It was filthy - moldy shower, dusty fixtures, dirty floors, roaches. The hot tub was full of hair and smelled rotten. The owners did send someone to clean the shower after we complained, but they were so rude. The owners did not apologize or seem to think the uncleanliness was a big deal. To us, the cabin was completely unacceptable. We would never recommend anyone to stay here.
