Grant's Mountain Cabin -45 minutes to Asheville

The cabin was very nice, the location is very peaceful, and everything is exactly as pictured. We had fun playing games and relaxing in the hot tub. The only negative thing I’d have to say is that the pool table is almost against a wall and between pillars, making half the table nearly unplayable, but we made it work and had a nice getaway.

Wonderful home!!!

We had our annual mom’s long weekend and chose this cabin this year! It was between areas we wanted to visit and the amount of beds available made it an easy decision! The hot tub on the deck was also a plus! This cabin on the mountain was a perfect place to rest and relax. The scenery is amazing this time of year with the leaves changing colors. We were surprised with the winding road to get to the place, but by the time the weekend was over, we were old pros at it. We visited Asheville to do some volunteering with Asheville Dream Center; to Greensboro to take in a Christian concert (Brandon Lake); and hiked Tom’s Creek near Marion. The little shops in town were fun and we ate at a BBQ place “Smoke A Little Smoke” - a hole in the wall place with fantastic food! The host was very responsive with questions. We had a small issue with the coffee maker but he made sure we weren’t left without. We highly recommend staying at Grant’s Mountain Cabin! You will not be disappointed!

Great spot in the mountains. House was spacious and homey, and the hot tub was nice. Would stay here again.

There was a leak in the ceiling of one of the bedrooms. An elderly lady was sleeping there and had to leave in the middle of the night because of it. The furniture is very old, as are the bedding, the bath towels are poor quality, and there was a lot of dust under the sofa, but also on the sides, and there were many insects inside the house. The barbecue grill was very dirty, and there was no propane. We had to ask for it, and they came to bring it, but it's an inconvenience to worry about that! The ping pong table was broken in the basement, and the TV was stuck on only one channel. There was no laundry detergent in the laundry room. Definitely not worth the price they charge!!!

We were in search of quiet & privacy, and that’s what we got! Home was clean, well stocked with linens, blankets, etc. The home is very large and would accommodate what we counted as 11 persons (beds). Hot tub was great to have and overall a very peaceful couple of days. Would highly recommend and definitely return!

The house was exactly as described and located in such a beautiful, peaceful spot. We only stayed for the weekend, but it was the perfect getaway from the city hustle and bustle. Surrounded by the forest, we truly felt connected with nature. The house had everything we needed: clean bed linen, fresh towels, reliable Wi-Fi, and a great hot tub that made our stay even more relaxing. I believe it would be amazing to stay here not only in summer, but also during other seasons. Big thanks to the hosts for their hospitality! :)

If you’re looking for some beautiful peace and quiet in the woods, this is your paradise! We loved this cabin. The drive is winding (but not too steep) in a beautifully private area. The hot tub, ping pong table, pool table, and classic Nintendo were perfect for our family, but the outside deck and fireplace was where we spent a ton of time. Close to Linville Caverns/Falls and a hop from Marion, this place fits the bill for an accessible mountain stay. There are a ton of beds/sleeping options and the downstairs bunk room is almost its own apartment (perfect for our teen). We can’t wait to come back.

Was a great last minute get away to the mountains. The setting was amazing and quiet.

The cabin was perfect for a quick getaway in the mountains! Very private and secluded but very accessible and convenient to surrounding hiking trails. However, staying locked away in the cabin was also an extremely cozy option with the hot tub, fire pit and grilling/cooking options. Would highly recommend and will certainly look to return in the future!

Wonderful stay in the mountains!

Positive: I loved how secluded it was. Negative: The only thing I didn’t like was that road to get to it, but it was very drivable.

The home was priced very well, unfortunately ping pong table paddles had no padding, pool sticks had no tips, fire place came without any wood, bugs in all the windows, there was a leak from the middle floor bathroom faucet that leaked into the basement that was eventually fixed. Absolutely no view. But if you drive a couple minutes up the road you can find some nice views.

We had a great time with our family. The place is very private and peaceful. The host was very proactive. The cabin was very spacious and comfortable.

Overall, this cabin offered the perfect mix of relaxation and entertainment, making it an unforgettable experience.

fantastic house surrounded with trees, and big yard our dog loved the outside. we loved the inside. clean and spacious, kitchen fully stocked for cooking and it wonderful to have a grill. everyone enjoyed our time thier with friends and family. with all the amenities they offered, pool table, gaming consol, hot top. we would stay against and highly recommend.

We rented this cabin for seven people that were helping out a church to distribute supplies for hurricane victims. The response and cabin were all great!

Perfect weekend getaway location!!

Great place very nice view

We had a short stay but needed the reprieve after dealing with hurricane Helene. We really needed to reset and decompress and this was the perfect place to do it. The hot tub was amazing. The place was peaceful and quiet. We really had some quality family time while we were there. There was plenty of space and it felt like we had everything we needed there. I would definitely go again!

Spent a few days in the Marion area while helping a friend with clean up after Hurricane Hellene….loved this place and definitely will return with my family!

The cabin was very private, which is what we wanted. Its my second time booking it (I couldn’t make it with the rest on the first time to actually evaluate the place myself) The place was clean and organized very well, we didn’t feel like we need to clean or double check on anything before we use it. Everything was provided by Phillip for the kitchen wise and bathroom/shower. The location was a bit too deep to get in to but not hard to find. But you need 13-17 min drive from the community gate which was long. And the location was 15 miles away from the closet waterfall or lake to drive to (not too bad) We had an issue with the bbq grill, the grill they provide is powered by smoke and heat and not by an actual gas/coals. Unfortunately the grill went out and stopped working suddenly when we wanted to use it and had to drive at 10pm for almost 30min+ to buy small grill. But the owner gave have an hour late check out to make it up for us. Overall, I like it and wanna check his other cabins

The cabin was stunning - beautiful location, east to navigate driveway (uncommon for the area!), cozy, and well-equipped. My family and I stayed for 4 nights and loved having a W/D for our stay, and were able to make meals easily with the available cookware. The dishwasher was an excellent touch as well as the very fancy electric grill available for our use! The hot tub was one of our favorite perks - we were in there daily, since it was chilly for our stay! We appreciated the pool and ping pong tables, but would definitely recommend an upgrade on paddles, ping pong balls and pool cues. There were plenty of linens for the beds and the beds were incredibly comfortable. We slept very well! There were also plenty of towels, which was a nice touch. I’d recommend adding some additional throw blankets for the couches, to add to the coziness factor! Having 3 bathrooms was a luxury and multiple tvs were also amazing. We were impressed and almost entirely delighted with our stay!

Host was super friendly and easy to communicate with. We stayed for 2 weeks and it begin to feel like home very quickly.

The cabin is stunning. It would be perfect for a bridal party or big family needing to stay for an event. I think we counted at least 13 spots to sleep! the bunk beds and games downstairs are a great way to keep little ones occupied and safe as well.

We had a great time there with our family. Plenty of space and very private. Philip and Kelly were very responsive. Would go there again!

Great peaceful stay. Took a two day break with the kids while my wife was out of town. The kids loved the basement/fun room! Jacuzzi was awesome.

Wow! What a beautiful, incredible stay! This cabin was the perfect size and layout for our 3 adult/4 child get away! We could have had a few additional people and still had room. The three levels made for excellent privacy and maximum leisure and fun. The kiddos loved the game room downstairs. Each level has a full bathroom! Great cabin for multiple families! The windy drive up the mountain ensured seclusion and peace. I would absolutely stay here again!

This place is beautiful. It is very private and peaceful. The place was very clean, one of the cleanest cabins I have stayed in by far. It had plenty of space for 2 families and plenty to do for all ages.

This is really a great place!!! The cabin is well decorated, and would easily serve as a great getaway for one or two families with children. Although the cabin is right off the road, it is in a gated community, and over three days we saw next to no traffic. Prior to checking, Kelly called to welcome us and let us know we could check I’m early. She was also helpful in questions concerning local attractions. One of our best experiences from a host. No doubts that we’d consider booking this cabin again on a future visit to the area.

A great stay for a great price!

The place was as expected from the pictures, description and other reviews. If we were utilizing all of the sleeping areas and splitting the cost between more than just two adults, then the price would have been more reasonable. It was the only place in the area we needed to stay that was available for one night and it was loads better than a hotel room. The road in was super long and winding. The cabin was a bit shabby in places for the price. There were no amenities I'm used to finding for the price point like coffee creamer, bottled water, a few snacks, nicer personal hygiene products, black out curtains, or natural fiber bedding. It was also inconvenient that we were asked to start a load of laundry, empty the garbage and wash the dishes when we were paying a 200$ cleaning fee for one night. But because the cabin sleeps 10, it is a good deal if one doesn't need luxuries. It was clean, the mattresses and couches were comfortable. All the utilities and appliances worked well.

The cabin was wonderful! It had everything we needed for a relaxing anniversary weekend. We particularly loved the large corner tub in the master bath. Located near downtown Marion, so we also got to visit Artesana Ice Cream and walk the greenway! The hosts were very nice and responsive as well. I'd definitely recommend this place to couples and families looking for peace and quiet in the mountains.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Grants Mountain Cabin, and it exceeded expectations. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, this cabin offered the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. From the moment we arrived, the views took our breath away. The cabin itself was well maintained, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The spacious living area, complete with game room, made for a fun gathering spot. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the outdoor grill was a great addition for barbecuing under the stars. The bedrooms were thoughtfully appointed, ensuring a restful night's sleep. We especially loved the master suite. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor hot tub. Soaking in the warm water while gazing at the stars after a long day of driving was much needed. It’s a little off the beaten path- but the view was worth the twists and turns to get there!

absolutely beautiful!!! loved our stay here. I had my adult children with me. they spent time in the hot tub and playing games. every thing was really nice,clean,they had a lot to do board games, pool, ping pong. sleeping areas were very comfortable. The host personally called me to let me know I could check in early. would definitely stay again.

The sheets and king beds are wonderful!

House needs to be maintained and updated lots of things wrong that could easily be fixed. Ex holes in the ceiling, washer not working, loose fixtures, etc. the outdoors portion was not very well maintained if you have allergies I do not recommend this type of place. Very secluded but at night it feels like a fishbowl with big giant windows and no blinds. The path to get there also wasn’t taken care of, overgrown and had multiple tree limbs in the way. For the price we paid it was fine but had the normal pricing been offered would not have been satisfied.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Phillip was very communicative. The Airbnb was an easy 45 min drive to Asheville which was nice. Unfortunately, we did anticipate a bit nicer or more updated cabin due to the price compared to other Airbnbs we have visited before. The upstairs master bedroom was very hot making it hard to sleep. Most plumbing pieces (sink knobs, handles, etc) were loose. Exterior sliding doors were very difficult to open/ close. Furniture was okay - again, just not what was expected for the price. Limited kitchen pots and pans, without a vent fan for cooking so we had to open doors. We were a little thrown that we paid a $200 cleaning fee, but were instructed in the checkout instructions to start a load of laundry and dishes. There were some great amenities: classic Nintendo, pool table, board games, great coffee maker, smart TVs. It was also in a quiet and safe location. The cabin was pretty clean. It seemed well kept with landscaping. Phillip was a great host.

The place was everything that we expected. Lots of space, lots to do, hot tub, disc golf, pool/ping pong table. Felt very homey. We are already making plans to go back.

Beautiful place. We could have stayed in the house all day with a hot tube, fire pit, ping pong, pool table and tons of board and card games. It was very peaceful. A good getaway spot.

My husband and I enjoyed our nice little getaway in the cabin. It’s very peaceful and private and exactly as described. The cabin is located a couple miles down a winding and narrow road, which is not very convenient to stores or restaurant, so be sure to plan accordingly. The scenery is beautiful and makes it worth the drive. We cooked most of our meals in the bacon and enjoyed the outdoor patio seating. There is a pellet grill to use, but no pellets so also keep that in mind of you’d like to use the grill. Handily there was enough in the hopper for us to grill our chicken for one meal. The cabin is very clean and offers space for a large family. We enjoyed lounging in the hot tub, but check for bugs. We didn’t notice them until we were already in the hot tub for a while 😬 We would consider coming back if in this area. Thanks for a relaxing getaway.

Although there are things that need updated/repaired the cabin was a cozy stay. The hosts are very helpful. The road to the cabin is a narrow curvy mountain road, but it is blacktopped. Kids enjoyed the basement with pool table, tv and bunk beds. Wish we could have enjoyed the outside space more but unfortunately it rained pretty much the whole time we were there. Thankfully there were plenty of games to play inside! Overall a good family trip.

The only knock I have on the cabin was the outdoor area’s cleanliness. There were Several cigarette buds in the yard and by the fireplace. Did not hinder our trip at all as we still had a great time at this cabin overall! Thanks again for hosting!

We had a great time! It was the perfect distance away from everything. We got a great mountain experience with it being so peaceful, but it wasn't so secluded that it took too long to go grab a bite to eat. The hot tub and fireplace were our favorite parts.

Great air B&B option. Lots of activities to do from home. Very spacious and clean. I would definitely come back and recommend to anyone seeking to get away.

What a great spot to stay! It is super secluded and private, very peaceful and quiet. Perfect to relax. It is probably even more pretty in spring/summer when everything is in full bloom. The house was clean and had everything you need. It has a little bit more wear and tear than the photos suggest, but it’s still a nice house. Definite plus are the large patio to sit at in the sun, the hot tub, the pool table downstairs and the nice fireplace. The road up to the house is a bit curvy but nothing to be afraid of. We would definitely be happy to come back here and recommend this spot!

A little escape from reality! We really enjoyed the cabin and everything the area had to offer. Will definitely be back!

House is just as described. Very peaceful and quiet. We had a party of 8 and there was plenty of room to relax. Did have a slight issue with something missed during cleaning that needed to be addressed due to food allergies. I contacted Kelly right away and she was very understanding and apologetic. Issue was handled and I was more than satisfied with the solution. Beautiful house and land, very happy overall with our stay. A word to those unfamiliar with the area: It is beautiful and peaceful. It is also mountains. :) House is about a 10-15 minute drive up and downhill on a one-lane paved road. For that area, it is a perfectly normal road to access this type of area. If you are not used to mountain roads, take a deep breath, take it slow, and all will be fine. :)

The house was amazing. The scenery was beautiful and calming. Looked exactly like the pictures. Everything is really close by once you get out of the pathway. Only thing was that the oven had some substance at the bottom that smoked out the kitchen. Nothing could be cooked in the oven. But aside from that it was a nice stay. Very spacious.

The house was beautiful, everything we needed after a long day of driving, the hot tub is such a great feature! The how was clean, and the ping pong table kept us busy all night!

I honestly cannot express in words the peace i got while i was there. The road was windy, but it's a mountain road. We were far enough away from society to forget everything for a bit, but close enough to have everything quickly. It was more than enough and I'll be booking this cabin again soon.

Great cabin in the woods. Good space for the kids to play and hangout on the lower level. They made good use of the hot tub. The access road is very long (about 10 minutes) at very slow speed. There is slight highway from I-40 but less of an issue that I originally was concerned about (there were no leaves on the trees so this likely didn't help). I liked the yard as it gave some level space for the kids to play. The house is set below and in the bend of the access road, but there were was little traffic (I think we saw two cars in two days) so that was not an issue. It was a great house for a few days off the grid. Would book again.

Great little cabin. Cozy with plenty of places to sleep. Much better deal and way more fun than any hotel. My kids loved the game room and we all slept great!!
