Kingfisher's Riverside Cabin

Very nice cabin on the river. Views were immaculate and although we came for our honeymoon it will be perfect for our family when we come back! Downtown Murphy was perfect and we frequented downtown blue ridge- such a quick drive. We did many hikes locally and it was just perfect. If we needed anything Timothy reached out via cellphone and was helpful. Can’t wait to return! ❤️❤️

Kingfisher was a great place to celebrate Thanksgiving! The river, the cabin and the peaceful surroundings made for a wonderful getaway. A must for travelers looking for a quiet place to retreat too.

Home needs to be cleaned. Lots of ants crawling in bedding and on plates when eating. Home needs to be cleaned. Dirty dishes, freezer, beds appeared not to have been changed. Hosts are responsive and do their best to assist from a distance.

Place was great on the River. Wonderful neighbors & very peaceful. Everything in the house was wonderful. Place just needed a deep clean. A lot of dust on the carpets under the beds & behind furniture. Other than that, the place was clean & organized. Great, responsive host too.

It's a simply wonderful cabin that has a sense of seclusion while still being close enough to civilization to access the basics. The access road is gravel and bumpy, but our family vehicle handled it easily. It was comfortable for our family of 7. It's a good location as a ground base for day trips to the surrounding towns and is a peaceful respite when you just want to relax with a cup of coffee by the river. The cabin is great, the hosts are great, the area is great. We would love to return in the future.

Kingfisher's River Cabin provided us with the perfect getaway! From the moment we arrived, the cabin felt wonderfully welcoming and homey. It’s full of charm and completely set up for preparing meals—including a fantastic Traeger grill/smoker that our resident grill master was thrilled to use! ​The riverfront location was an absolute highlight. The soothing sounds and beautiful views were pure relaxation, especially while enjoying the decks and covered porch. Even our dogs loved their stay, enjoying the yard and the local activity, like watching the geese glide by and the chickens across the river. ​One week simply wasn't enough; we honestly wish we had booked for two! We can't wait to make a return visit to this adorable riverside home.

The house is off the beaten path,but it is a wonderful place. The house was clean, the beds were comfortable. The sound of the river flowing was very peaceful.

AWESOM!! If you want to hear the peaceful river rolling this is the place! A beautiful home with an unbelievable view right in the river bend! Comfortable beds and everything you need to cook and grill out—we only left to visit The world’s largest display of the Ten Commandments at Fields of the Wood which is a must see and only a 20 minute drive! I hope we get to come again!!! The hosts were MORE than accommodating. Oh and the top balcony was my favorite spot! Bird’s eye view of this glorious place!!! Thank you guys for the wonderful vacation!!!

House was fantastic, neighbors are super friendly and scenery was gorgeous! We were able to catch a few fish but mostly enjoyed how peaceful it was!!

Beautiful and cozy house right along the river. We enjoyed some time in the water and then warming up in the hot tub. Kitchen and grill were well stocked so we could eat in a couple of our nights and then get cozy on the couch. It’s a little bit of a drive to and from the main road but not too bad, though, could perhaps be a bit more difficult in the winter and/or inclement weather. We were able to make it just fine in our Nissan Altima. Most things we wanted to see or do seemed to be about 20-30 mins away. We had nice hikes at Panther Top Lookout and Piney Knob trails and also enjoyed coffee and donuts at Rare Bird Emporium in Murphy.

This place was beyond perfection. Good to know u literally need nothing besides your clothes and your fav soaps if u have specifics. We were surprised to find every single item u could think about available . Plenty of towels too that’s a plus . Laundry soap provided to keep up on everything we used plus dish detergent it was all a wow ! Such a blessing our dogs felt so at home loved the river . We will definitely be back! The set up was so nice . I have absolutely nothing negative to say. From the responses to the items provided and the comfort it was amazing . Perfect and a godsend ! Easy to find because great instructions. Was helpful when asked about rebooking . !! We left some fire wood behind in the garage because we didn’t get to use it . Enjoy . ☺️ THANk YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS GIFT ! ! Oh and the fact there was Lysol under the counter made me so happy ! It’s the little things . Ima neat freak and this place met all my standards ! This cabin was amazing!!! Clean, amazing view, comfy beds, plenty of kitchen goods to cook meals at home, friendly responsive host, the list goes on. We loved our time and everyone in town and neighbors were beyond friendly. Highly recommend!

Beautiful location, we loved the back deck looking over the Nottely River. Lots of hummingbirds. Very peaceful and quiet area.

From the moment we arrived, this log cabin felt like a true escape. Nestled right along the river, the views were absolutely stunning — we enjoyed our morning coffee while listening to the water flow, and evenings by the fire pit felt magical. The cabin itself was cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. Can’t wait to visit again!

This is a great cabin on a private road! The cabin was very clean and well furnished. The kitchen is well stocked with pretty much anything you need. The bed linens and towels were hotel quality. The hosts are very nice and responsive. This is a great cabin to relax and unwind, fish, tube or just hang out on the porch. We have rented two other cabins on this road and will definitely rent this one again. Thank you Timothy and Matt for sharing your wonderful cabin with us!

My family absolutely adored this cabin. Excellent host. Very responsive and kind. Location was perfect. Close to grocery stores and things to do. No scary drives to get to cabin. Beautiful place inside and out with tons of blooming flowers. Comfy beds. My kiddos and doggos spent many hours playing in the river. Make sure to bring water shoes and keep track of TVA water release times. The neighbors are angels. Fireflies galore in the evening. This is definitely a place you won’t want to leave! Hoping to come back again next summer to this place and checking out one of Mitch’s homes with elevation in the fall. Thank you for sharing your place!

I cant say enough good things about this place ! It was amazing. Very clean. Fully stocked, everything we needed. We had a great time. The view is amazing, house was beautiful we will be back.

I can truly not say enough nice things about Kingfisher River Cabin. It was really beautiful and comfortable. It had everything we could have wanted, it was quiet, the river was really lovely and Timothy and Mitch were so nice to deal with, they were very responsive and kind during our stay. The cabin itself was really lovely and comfortable and had everything we could have needed for our stay. A cup of coffee sitting on the back deck watching the river go by will be the thing I dream about for the rest of the summer!

Kingfisher was a relaxing get a way for my family. The house had loads of comfortable seating. The bedrooms were perfect for our needs. The surroundings are just as picturesque as the pictures show. The downtown area and nearby towns were quaint and had plenty to do when we felt like getting out. The host was super responsive and took care of any requests/concerns almost immediately. We loved our stay!

We enjoyed the Cabin, very peaceful, raining weather hindered us on the outside steps at our over 70 age and the inside stairs was a challenge but the stay there was very enjoyable.

Will 100% book here again, host was absolutely wonderful, location was stunning, everything was provided that was needed. Loved it was pet friendly, great stay for the whole family!

We were very happy staying at Kingfisher’s River Cabin. We were taking classes at the Folk School and although the cabin was a 30 minute drive, it was an easy one and so worth it. We would come back from class and unwind on the deck overlooking the river. And we saw three Kingfishers! The beds are comfortable and the AC works great. As does the internet.

Wow! What an absolutely fantastic Airbnb. Being right next to the river was incredibly calming and made for such a peaceful getaway. The home was so cozy and comfortable, I instantly felt relaxed. The host was also super communicative.And the hot tub? Seriously amazing! It was the perfect way to unwind. Bonus tip: Make sure to bring firewood for a wonderful and relaxing bonfire right by the river! One thing to note is that the road leading to the Airbnb is a little bumpy, so frequent trips to the downtown area might not be the most convenient. However, if you intend to fully embrace the peacefulness and stay put, make sure to bring your groceries and supplies – the road won't bother you then! I highly recommend this gem for anyone needing a tranquil escape.
