Skytop Summit-Hot Tub/Firepit/Big Views

This Airbnb was one of the best we’ve ever stayed in! The host was by far the MOST responsive and flexible host I’ve ever had. We will 100000% be coming back! The views were stunning, the back porch was perfect for grilling out even in the middle of December, the fire pit was perfect, and the beds were to die for! The only thing that was slightly unclear (and that’s on me not being observant) was that the third bedroom is outside separate from the house. Which didn’t work great for us with 1 year olds, but it’s perfect for older kids!! Cannot recommend enough!

Our trip was ruined by extremely poor communication from this host. We drove over 10 hours with two kids, and 30 minutes before check-in the host suddenly informed us the house had no running water — even though they had been “fixing it all day” and never mentioned anything earlier. The day before, they confirmed everything was fine and even sent us the access codes. We told them we were willing to stay anyway and let them fix the issue the next day, even asked for basic water for toilets. Instead, they refused to let us stay, insisted we must not show up at the property, and effectively canceled our booking last-minute. It honestly felt like they might have rebooked the place for someone else because their urgency and insistence that we do not arrive made no sense. On top of that, the manager Mike called us after canceling and was rude and passive-aggressive, adding even more stress to an already bad situation. This left our family stranded in the evening with two kids and nowhere

2nd time at this place and there was a reason we came back to the same spot. This time though, there was some issue on the last day - Issues happen, and the way the host treats the guest when issues happen tells a lot, Mike & Mitch who was the contact person took care of it immediately and even gave alternate options for the night. Super helpful and made our get away peaceful.

Beautiful place to disconnect from the world. It’s was perfect for my family of 4. Plenty of space, and very comfortable. My parents loved it, it was their first time at the mountains and it was a memorable one. The views are amazing, and the cabin is easy to access. My Toyota Corolla made it up there with no issues. The grill is not working properly, other than that the place is wonderful and I’d recommend it.

We stayed at the Skytop Summit for a weekend trip to Bryson City. The house was very clean, and the views were spectacular! The house is a little smaller than the pictures appear, but that’s okay. The wood burning fireplace was amazing, and the hot tub was clean and already heated to temperature when we arrived. The house is about 15 minutes from Bryson City and located up a decently steep gravel road. We were able to make it up and down easily and did not have any issues with our truck and SUV. Smaller cars may have more trouble, so plan accordingly if you stay here! Ultimately we enjoyed our stay and wished we could’ve stayed longer. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing getaway for families or couples.

Great listing- exactly as advertised. It is luxury in the middle of nowhere- if you’re looking for that, this is the place.

This is honestly the best airbnb I have stayed at! The view from the master had a full moon that lit up, and comfort for my sleep. The attention to detail of things you made need, extra cozy blankets, the fireplace, towels by the Jacuzzi. Was so perfect. Extra towels, the calm and soothing decor was perfection. I woke up to the sun coming up from the mountains it was magical ,If you want a calm, secluded, peaceful, maybe even romance with your person you have landed in the perfect spot. As It’s 4 minutes from the Nantahala out door center. There is a restaurant and bar, a general store and Kayaking lessons. It feels like friendly little town. I am thankful to our hosts for being so great with communication, if you have any issues just text or call them. Just do it!!! Trust, run walk or drive!!! Elle Boyer,

Nice peaceful place with a mountain view

Awesome cabin to accommodate our family’s rafting trip.

Location was great. 5 min to the Cardinal Cafe, about 12 minutes to the NOC, about the same time into Bryson City. Made an easy drive over to Fontana Dam/Lake and the Tail of the Dragon too. Drive up was moderately steep on gravel, but I would say is easily accessible and should be the expectation for a mountain view. Really a modest climb and quickly onto the main roads. Recently updated. Everything worked well. Deck/Views were great. Teenage son enjoyed hiding in the 3rd bedroom/game/shed building. Mike seemed communicative and accessible, but we didn't need anything during our time there.

I had a wonderful time staying in this home! It was so comfortable, quiet, and peaceful! There was plenty of space, the house was clean and it felt like a home away from home. There are several things to do within a reasonable distance. The view is amazing! The hot tub was great. I definitely recommend.

Loved the place! Booked this for my Birthday and it was just what I needed!! Nice and private, clean, great views, modern decor, but totally warm and comfortable. The location is great for quick easy access to the lake as well. We loved the deck space and hot tub. The umbrellas were great and came in clutch since none of the deck is covered, having those provided some shade when needed. The drive way is a little steep, but it is paved and we didn’t have any issues at all. Definitely hope to book this place again in the future and definitely give my recommendation for anyone looking to stay in the area!!

Great place and location for our planned activities on the lake and Nantahala. VERY responsive host. Had a small problem and Mike was on it immediately with help. Couldn’t ask for a better host. Would highly recommend.

The space felt open and modern. It wasn’t dark or cluttered. Ut had comfy beds and linens. The third bedroom was actually a detached shed across the parking lot, but it had heat and AC and was very comfortable. It was a perfect place for teens to hang out, watch movies and play video games. The hot tub and outdoor furniture/deck was also a big hit with everyone. There was lots to do in the area and you were close to the lake, the NOC and Bryson City. We would love to do this space again.

Mike showcased and described this cabin beautifully. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Mike was responsive and very hospitable. We were even able to extend our stay, and effective communication with Mike made that possible. The space was clean and presentable, making us feel right at home with the beautiful landscape. Enjoying the hot tub in this peaceful environment was a bonus. Highly recommend!

our stay was PHENOMENAL. Mike’s place had everything we needed. i love that we were only an hour and a half from both Gatlinburg and Asheville! this is by far the best cabin trip we’ve ever had thanks to Mike and his team :) we will definitely be back soon!!

We LOVED staying here! The view from the deck is beautiful and it is so quiet and peaceful. We were an easy distance to Bryson City and the National Park for all the things we had planned. We loved the hot tub and loved stargazing from the deck at night. The house is beautiful, clean and comfortable and our kids LOVED the little house across the drive with bunk beds and foosball. We will absolutely stay here again the next time we come down!

This rental property was worth the amount listed for daily. It was pristine clean and very very comfortable. The layout was simple and nice. It had a half around the house porch, which was stunning with views and the set up of the deck furniture was placed extremely well. We love the view on both sides of the house. We didn’t realize we were that far up the mountain, but it was worth the trip to have such a serene and peaceful view every day and night. The host was very responsive and the second host was very responsive and forthcoming. Kelly was a pleasure to talk toand I appreciated everything she did for us great rental property. I truly recommend this place for a private getaway for any reason!
