The Mountains
From Bryson City to the Blue Ridge Parkway in Floyd, VA — handpicked cabins with private hot tubs, fire pits, and big mountain views.
The Experience
Our mountain cabins are tucked into the forests and ridges of Western NC and the Blue Ridge of Virginia. Each one is thoughtfully outfitted with modern comforts — private hot tubs, full kitchens, and cozy fireplaces — while keeping the rustic mountain character that makes these escapes so special.
Most properties are pet-friendly, sleep 4–10 guests, and sit within easy reach of hiking, whitewater, waterfalls, and the restaurants and breweries of our local towns.
Where You'll Stay
From the wild Smokies near Bryson City to the lakeside foothills of Nebo and the music-rich ridges of Floyd, Virginia — here's what each region offers, and the cabins waiting for you in each.
Gateway to the Smokies
Bryson City calls itself the "outdoor adventure capital of the Great Smoky Mountains" — and for once, the slogan checks out. Five entrances to the most-visited national park in America sit within minutes of downtown, but you'd never guess it from the laid-back, walkable Main Street. Mountain town with grit, not theme park.
It's our largest cabin cluster, and the home base most guests pick if they're new to the region.
Authentic Appalachian, no commercialization. Quiet enough to hear the river, lively enough to find live music on a Friday. Free downtown parking. One hour west of Asheville, three hours north of Atlanta.

The Quiet Corner
Westernmost town in North Carolina — closer to six other state capitals than its own. Murphy is what Bryson City was twenty years ago: tree-lined downtown with restored historic storefronts, antique shops, and the Hiwassee and Valley Rivers meeting at the edge of town.
If you want true mountain seclusion with a casino night optional, this is the spot.
Slow, quiet, mountain-Southern. The kind of place where strangers wave from porches. Two hours from the National Park, perfect for groups who want to actually disconnect.

Old-School Mountain Town
A high-elevation valley town just 40 minutes west of Asheville and minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway. Haywood County has the highest median elevation of any county east of the Rockies — cool summer nights and serious fall color.
Don't miss the elk: they were reintroduced to nearby Cataloochee Valley in 2003 and now wander into town regularly.
Quieter than Asheville, less wild than Bryson City. Maggie has a sweet, retro Smokies feel — perfect for couples and families looking for a softer landing.

Lake James & the Asheville Foothills
About 45 minutes east of Asheville sits Lake James — 6,800 acres of clear mountain water with the Blue Ridge for a backdrop. Marion calls itself "where Main Street meets the mountains," and Nebo, just up the road, is the lake's gateway community.
Best of both worlds: lake life with the mountains right behind you, and Asheville close enough for a day trip.
Lake-and-mountain hybrid. Quieter than Asheville, more accessible than Bryson City. Great pick for families with mixed interests — boat day, hike day, brewery day.

Bluegrass & the Blue Ridge Parkway
A 450-person town on the Blue Ridge Parkway with a single stoplight, one of the deepest live-music traditions in the country, and a quiet wine-country streak hiding right under the surface. Floyd sits at Milepost 165 and is a major stop on Virginia's Crooked Road heritage music trail.
If you've never danced to bluegrass on a sidewalk on a Friday night, the Floyd Country Store will fix that. And just up the Parkway, Villa Appalaccia Winery brings a slice of Tuscany to the Blue Ridge.
Tiny town, gigantic soul. Artists, musicians, hippies, hikers, and farmers in equal measure. About 50 miles southwest of Roanoke.
